They develop in any aquarium of plenty of food remains as left overs. So it is best to control the feeding.

* Don't kill them in aquarium otherwise they will multiply fast. Remove them carefully.
* Dario-dario eats those so you can also keep these fishes.

No food at all in this tank, this the tank I'm preparing for plants, so currently only substrate in there.

Don't worry about these worms. They will always be part of you aquarium no matter what you do. They are an excellent indicator that the water has excess nutrients.

Thanks,

Currently I'm physically removing them using net. I've also heard people successfully used dog de-wormer to cure these.
Thanks & Regards

Hi,
You may try with ordinary female bettas or fighters.
Advantages

They are inquisitive about every thing that is moving, and would try to nip on the moving worms
Unlike the ordinary mollies and guppies, they are not very choosy about food
keeping a handful of young ones, will help clean the tank in a better way
Just make it sure, to feed them occasionally, as the worms would contribute to their main food source
once they grow, they display vivid colors even better at times
They can be kept with other specimens, as well, since they are not aggressive like the males
They are not too pricy

Though after some time, the adult fishes, will try to nip the fins of slow moving fishes so one may need to replace them with younger ones, easily available in the markets. Even i has the same issue and these fishes helped a lot, even better than any other specimen like guppies and mollies.

Also rapid growth is visible in stagnant water, so you can introduce a power head to create a flow in the water..
