Bisambar - pictures will definitely help in order to diagnose more on this.

sounds like your betta is suffering from bloat.
what do you feed your fish?
How much?
how often?

I would fast the fish until bloat is disappeared and try live food/frozen food or dry food after soaking it in water with very little quantity, if the bloat is not severe.
In case of severe bloat, you can go for epsom salt treatment, where dissolve 1tablespoon of epsom salt in separate container with water from main tank and leave the fish for 15 mins with carefully acclimating the fish.

Most likely it will be dropsy, please see if the scales are pines up like pipeapple, search net for dropsy you will get pics to understand the issue.
Give immediate epsom salt treatment and water change, no foood at all

People may advice you to use table salt/rock salt but it can have an adverse effect on the fish health in this case, so use only Epsom salt, you may also use metrogly along with it.
