Help!!! Please Identify this White Layer.

Hi All,

I Just scaped a new tank and on the second day i am getting this layer on white - Mucus layer on my drift wood as well a white layer with fishy smell on the water surface. Please help me out with it. am attaching the photos. Thanks.

The wood has not been cured properly to use in the aquarium. This will automatically hide in a few days. If possible, remove the wood and boil it.

+1, for fishy smell do regular water changes, it normally happens when tank/ filter has not matured and will eventually stop as the tank matures.

it is most likely a fungus.

it is not at all harmful...will vanish after few days, very common
