What others suggested: wc, cleaning, glut/excel will go a long way to help. Hope your troubles abate.
Algae is usually too many nutrients in water but not enough other plants + co2 to absorb them. It can take a while to go down. I fought one for 3 months, increasing plant load, co2(excel), and reducing photo period till I finally had it out competed.
In case you still have problems, it would help the experts here troubleshoot better if you posted details of your tank: size, substrate, water source, water change regime, what fishes and plants, which filters, which lights and for how long do you keep them on etc?
