Hi! Guys
As i am going to keep a planted tank,it will be the first well build planted tank by expert for me.
I need some basic advice to keep a planted tank properly.
Our tape water is borewell water having Kh-55dKH/980 ppm.
Can we use this or we have to use RO water?up to which amount of Kh of water we can use?
I can maintain the temperature up to 28-29 degree celcius in the humid weather.
I can check all water tests as i have all test kits.

Valuable advice of you expert guys make me expert in future time.

Ashok

Sad news for plants.... Please use RO water to bring down the hardness to 100-150ppm.. good for most of the plants, and specially moss and ferns loves soft water....

Ferns would probably grow very well in that kind of water. They can use both the calcium and carbonates for the carbon source. Other plants would probably die, as well as most fish.
