No wonder so many people from left and right are rushing to it :) But you south indians should not let its gardens and greenery run out, even if you have to start a VISA system :D :D It is your responsibility to keep its special character and rich native heritage alive forever.

When i was in school there for 3 years (Army School, Kamaraj Road), there was no heater in my tank and it worked all year just fine.

You tubs are very nice, Karthik. why dont you try keeping some gammarus in them? They will love these... i know you can find them if you try.
Thanks Romiji. Yes, places like Bangalore, Dharwad and Mysore have had garden culture from a long time. I love outdoor tubs and containers and since I've been doing a lot of trips on motorbike (with wife), it encouraged me to try and mimic some places I've seen. Let's see where this new madness take me. I'm trying to place rocks in between the containers and fill in some soil to grow plants and give it a more natural feel.

Are you talking about the gammarus that look like shrimps? Will definitely try them.

Cheers,

Karthik

Pics from the same tub. The echinodorous is also thriving well with leaves out of water and full exposure to the sun!

There are a few guppies, two rosy barbs and a bunch of P. Cupanus in this tub.

Cheers,

Karthik

:1 Keeping emersed plants in Delhi during summers is a challenge.
