Help - DIY Fertilizer

Unread post by cichlids »

Hello,
Few days back got the following chemicals to prepare a DIY macro fertilizer,
KH2PO4, K2SO4 and KNO3.
My tank dimensions are - 24*15*18 (l*b*h)
Plants : HC, Staurogyne Repens, Uticularia Graminifolia, H.Tripartita, Blyxa, Needle Leaf java ferns.

Are these chemicals sufficient or should I purchase some other?
I'm a newbie in preparing DIY ferts.
In order to prepare a solution, how much quantity of chemicals should be added to water?

Please help!!
Have burnt my pocket many times purchasing branded ferts.

Thanks,
Nandan

All of the above mentioned chemicals (KH2PO4, K2SO4 and KNO3) are Macro nutrients. You also need Micro nutrient. CSM B is best known resource of Micro nutrient. But this product in not available in India. So you have to source it from USA. Here is the link http://www.aquariumfertilizer.com/index ... 2&Regit=11

Here is an online calculator http://www.theplantedtank.co.uk/calculator.htm
