Need advise for setting up tank with new substrate

Hello All,
I am going to replace my tank to Platinum black soil substrate for planted and shrimp setup.
I would like to know is there any other substrate required before putting the platinum soil for the first time.
I have macro and micro nutrient from Aquatic Remedies along with Phyto CARB.
Attached is pic of soil being used.
