Hi all,
The old "Indian barbs" tank was turned into a semi planted, biotope inspired setting. Nothing fancy, nothing great, just wanted to share this tank with you all.
Tank dimension: 3' x 18"W x 15" H
Lights: Unknown brand, Unknown wattage (funny, right?) but working to grow plants and giving them good colour.
Substrate: just a thin layer of river sand for aesthetic purpose.
Plants:
Echinodorous marble queen x 2
Hygrophilia quadrivalvis broad leaf
Hygrophilia quadrivalvis narrow leaf (red)
Hygrophilia quadrivalvis round lead apple red
Hygrophilia pinnatifida
Java ferns, Windelov ferns, egaria densa.
All are growing well.
Fish:
Ramirezi x 2
Ancistrus x 3
Garra Mullya x 3
Mystus canarensis x 1
Amblyceps mangois x 3
Yoyo loach x 3
Botia striata x 1
Triangularis loach x 2
Few black neons (lost count)
I'm working on additional lighting. Let's see how it shapes up. Pics of How the tank looks and how the plants have started to colour up:
I still have to clear the water markings on all sides of the tank. It's a real pain in the back side. Also, the camera of the phone is making the pictures look bluish. I will try to update pics from dslr soon.
Awaiting feedback and comments.
Cheers,
Karthik
