I thought both of the rock will also have some other compositions with iron. They can also be harmful for some of the aquatic animals.

You can use black soil in place of latarite.

I start fertilization in my planted aquariums, after 2-3 weeks. Wait the response of others.

coolbig :goodpost congrats

i must appreciate your efforts in making the tank and posting step by step procedure you have followed.

The tank and the sump is looking absolutely fantastic :clp :clp

hands I have also ordered for a 7 x 2 x 2 tank with a 4ft sump below it (which will be one of my existing tank) hands

For the sump i had the same idea of having plants in the refugium yipi

Substrate wood be balu reta, driftwoods, river stones.

Fauna would be Central and South American Mix
2 GT MALE
3 VIEJA SYNSPILUM - will be selling 1 male as i have 2 males and 1 female
1 VIEJA ARGENTEA - male
4 VIEJA ZONATUMS - gonna identify a pair and keep the male
1 ORNATE BIRCHIR
1 DELHEZI
1 SALVINI (PAIR)
1 JACK DEMPSEY (FEMALE)
4 ELECTRIC BLUE DEMPSEYS
1 SYNODONTIS CATFISH
6 Earth eaters

:cnf Few questions as it will be my 1st Monster Tank

1. The tank was build on the stand?
2. HAve you installed any frame on the top to support or avoid leakage in the future? :cnf
3. How long did it take for the silicone to dry after applying it? I have noticed, after 2 days you started filling the water? (correct me if I'm wrong) :cnf
4. How many support strips have you actually used inside the tank?

thnk thnk

Nikhil :1 :1

A tank of this size is indeed a big responsibility, so these questions should be cleared up ASAP. :)

thanxx buddy n congratulations for ur new tank, ur stock list is awesome
1. The tank was build on the stand?
yaa my tank was build on stand only

2. HAve you installed any frame on the top to support or avoid leakage in the future?
supports r there at top n bottom, dont worry about leakage if ur making it frm good LFS.

3. How long did it take for the silicone to dry after applying it? I have noticed, after 2 days you started filling the water?
after 24hr i filled 30% water thn next day morng again 30% n evening i filled rest part as my LFS guy instructed.

4. How many support strips have you actually used inside the tank?
total 9 support strips r there 4 at bottom (two longitudinal n two cross ) and 5 at top (two longitudinal n three cross )

what is d ur sump tank dimension , design ur stand so that u can easily place ur sump below it,
r you drilling ur tank?
