Andinoacara rivulatus(green terror)
[ Image ]
Origin :South America
Size:upto 10"
Diet:Omnivore
Water parameters:6.5–8.0 pH,20-26 °C

Personal view : very active fish, less aggressive at young age but as it matures will show why its name is green terror, growth rate is very slow as compare to other big SA cichlids .

Astronotus ocellatus(oscar)
[ Image ]
Origin :South America
Size:generally upto 1' but some grow bigger than 1'
Diet:carnivorous
Water parameters:6.5–8.0 pH,22-26 °C

Personal view : most popular cichlid in the hobby, i am keeping a pair of tiger oscar from 1" sized now both are one foot long, grow very fast ,very messy eater, most of the time swim top of the tank looking for food.
Cool photos, are you the owner??

Peruvian Scalare
Origin :South America
Size:upto 6"
Diet:Omnivore
Water parameters:6.0–7.4 pH,24-30 °C

Personal View : In spite of several pics in net showing angels swimming with a school of tetras, I'll not recommend to keep them with tetras specially like Cardinals & neons. Peaceful, majestic (aggressive once pair is formed) and best kept in planted set ups with excess height. They are also kept in black water biotope set ups or species only set ups.

The name “Coatzacoalcos” refers to the range of species in the Coatzacoalcos River system in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec in Mexico. The fish has not been officially described.

Average size : 10- 14 inches wherein males are bigger
Temperament : Highly aggressive
Temp range : 22- 28 Deg
Hard water
Diet : Omnivore
Not much information is available online as there are often confused and considered to be regional variants of paratheraps zonatus.
