Generally i use it during water change...... u need to take out 20% water so that the watermarks will not be under water.....now dip cotton wool in vinegar squeeze it well and apply it on the water marks ......definitely some vinegar will mix into water during this process, thus once u r done with ur cleaning then change water upto 50%.....


I haven't noticed any ill effects of vinegar on my fishes.

+1 I typically use vinegar on cotton or soft cloth and its quite effective. Even sometimes I dip the fittings of my corner sponge filter(not the sponge) to remove the sediments and improve the bubble rate ....
