You're right, now I'll show you what administrator of group of Nepal aquaristic has to set up, he made his 10 rules on the conduct of the responsible aquarist.
Everyone has different ideas.
Everyone can make his 10 rules or more, if you want.

"The Most significant thing is to be responsible Toward the species and the habitat."

I think that simply us could repeated the words of mongabay, if people are interested in biotopes and therefore to recent events, they understand that the habitats are endangered;
We forgot to be interested in recent news concerning habitats.

In each countries, you have of responsible aquarists or so of people who love nature.

He must teach them to discover the truth about the destruction of habitats. When we discover the truth, you become responsible toward the species.

Shanku Karna Shrestha (Nepal aquarist)

1. First Love The Native Natural Species.
2. Tell Aquarists & Public To Preserve The Native Natural Species.
3. Keep Native Species But Also Breed Them And Release Them In to Their Habitat.
4. Do Research & Development About Native Species.
5. Give Proper Information To Collect Native Species Without Harm Their Habitat.
6. Make some Brouchers (small magazine) and Distribute To Related Area’s People.
7. Organized Some Shows or Program To Show Aquarists About Native Species Beauty.

I don't completely agree with your views. We have to use only farm cultivated plants in place of getting direct from nature.

so should we also stop collecting drift wood and rocks etc hardscape materials? because even they support millons of life-forms

Yes.

But I think we dont make huge amount of collection of such things.

Hello everybody, an important point that I forgot: We must to make information accessible to all.

Example this subject should be observable by the guests (aquarists in the world).

To show that they exist of responsible aquarists in India.
