Lens : 18-55mm kit lens

i can't expend the aperture more then 3.5

Ashok ji the lens is rated f/3.5-5.6, so it cannot go beyond f/ 3.5.

Ashok ji, i'm not an expert but for some reason the pics is looking dull and out of focus. try using camera with narrow aparture (f/8 or more) and least focul length. you will have to add more lights to compensate for the narrow aparture.

probably this will give you some ideas on increasing the depth of field http://digital-photography-school.com/3 ... pth-field/

Finally, my hands under control otherwise camera always shake.
Rajivji - whenever you share a pic taken by DSLR it's advised that the EXIF details of the pic be shared as well - that helps anyone who has been in the photography line to comment and recommend better.

But here are my pointers for your pic -
1) Pic is out of focus.
2) Shutter speed seems like is way too low
3) ISO seems to be high - quite a bit of noise in the pic
4) Aperture was way too small.

to fix this pic I would recommend -
1) Use a tripod - put the camera in autofocus servo mode - with image type either as single point or spot focus - once you have a decent auto focus - turn off the auto focus from your lens or camera as applicable and do not touch the lens - this will help you in getting a crisp image. The reason for the spot is since your subject is a single plant this is the only one in focus and you will have a shallow DOF (Depth of field)
2) If you have low light in the tank - keep your shutter speed as low as possible anything between 1/20 to 1/25 sec should give you and ambient light
3) ISO should be set approximately between 400-600 this gives less noise in the image
4) If light is low open up the aperture as much as you can eg - if it's say my 50mm prime lens that I would have used to click this same image - I would have kept the aperture at 1.8 or 2.4 max and consequently increase the shutter speed to say 1/80 or 1/100 sec

Hope this helps - as I said before go through the digital photography school website to get detailed insights on basics of photography - I always follow that website to learn anything of photography.

Ashokji - your pics too match point 2/3/4 - try with what I suggested perhaps your pics will come sharper.
