Rajiv ji, the drawback of auto mode is it sets the ISO according to the light conditions at times it results in heavy noise as is evident in your pics.

keep the ISO low and reduce the apparture and shutterspeed(around 1/20-1/25) to compensate for the ISO. if you have a tripod use it.

All the pictures are soft. Kindly invest in a flash and tripod if you are serious about fish photography.
For fish photography you need to keep the shutter speed as high as possible, a speed of 1/25 will result in a blur image.sushant wrote:keep the ISO low and reduce the apparture and shutterspeed(around 1/20-1/25) to compensate for the ISO. if you have a tripod use it.

Re: A newbie in Aquarium Photography by DSLR.
Rajiv Ji,
1.Get an external flash.
2.Dont need UV filter, if you clean your lenses once you take out.
3.Keep ISO low, shutter high and if you are not investing on flash invest on more lights.
As said the images are soft and lack sharpness, keep clicking
And P.S. this is not for Rajiv Ji but for whoever thinks that editing shouldn't be done or unprocessed images shows their capability or helps them in more learning, let me be clear EDITING is not which can make a horrible image look Monalisa, it can only enrich an already existing good image into a better one. Explain me how an unfocussed, blury, shaky image you can present beautifully???
