thats great DIY... something just sparked out....
how about making a thermocole backgroung and taking it to a pottery man and getting the masking on it....
1) looks more natural
2) is porus
3) move water volume..
4) can create caves for chichlids and plecos
5) has rough surface soo plants can also creep on it
6) natural element and helps keeping water cool not much but helps in keeping

u know my this year IAPLC hard scape tuck me 80 days to complete just hard scape
last year one tuck me 40 days half way stopped .
the more time you can spend on any thing you wanted do it will comes more nice .beside these are for commercial use that's why i don't do more than this .
