DIY - Aluminum Frame Hood

Unread post by nikhil_julka »

Hi Guys,

I wanted to do a DIY for my new tank.

I am looking to make aluminum frame as a hood which will lay flat on top of the tank with long horizontal aluminum flat panels (4" broad) attached x 4 times.

[===========] the hood will look something like this but it will rest on the glass.
I have also attached a pic for reference. But in the pic the guy has joint both side from the centre and ignore any other work that has been done in the pic :)

Lighting will be the LED strips available in the market at rs 500 with sticker kind application and is water proof.

Creating a open hood will be beneficial in summers and winter both as the ventilation would be good enough?

Any suggestions or if anyone has done the mastery in this sort and is happy to guide me? :)

Aluminum connecters are available in the market to joint these types of panels. These are available with Aluminum door makes.
