Unread post by syed.ali »

I has being reading on net and was wondering if any one has actually used pumice as bio filter media, pumice is nothing but scrubbing stone generally used by all ladies :D to remove dead skin, its cheap and readily available.

it is super porous, it is same as used by seachem for matrix. They process it and i guss check if there is no impurity in it. There are lot of thread on various sites where they are talking about it, but didnt find any one using it and providing feedback on it. So wanted to know if any one here has used it.

Pumice is used readily and is good. only concern is, that it floats so need to have it in bags for better management.
