Here are a couple of them. I'm also open to suggestions to improve my own pics :)
A tripod is a must. I've tried without using one and most of the times the pictures are blurred.
Shooting at a perpendicular angle to the subject helps a lot otherwise there will be diffraction. So always shoot the coral at eye level.
I turn down the flow and shoot at the brightest led settings to get good contrast. With led, colors are hard to get correctly, so I always shoot in raw and then post process.
The best pictures will be if we can get the lens under the water. I believe they sell such an accessory for dslr in the states but its hard to find here.
Most of my pictures are shot with a standard canon 55-250mm lens with a close up lens 500d attachment that lets me shoot macros.
Warm Regards,
Aditya

Is that an Aptasia in the last pic on the frag plug? The are giving me sleepless nights, can't stop thinking of killing them even when I'm sleeping.

Yes that came with the frag. went totally unnoticed till i clicked these pics. The way around aiptasia is to kill as many and as soon as you see them. I had one which came with a frag, ignored it, went on to multiply crazy, till i decided to kill them one by one. They arent completely eliminated in my tank but now are far few inbetween. Fortunately, hasnt killed any coral till now.

Its also the reason why i don't buy any coral from lfs. Too much risk of introducing pests like aiptasia and worse any crabs or even unwanted algae like bubble or cyano.

I've heard of folks saying once it's through with aiptasia it has a tendency to go for zoas. Also saw a video where the peppermint shrimp made quick work of a torch coral. That's the reason don't want to try it. There is a bergia nudibranch which is an obligatory aiptasia feeder but it's quite difficult to get it here

How about a copper band? I've heard they can be good at controlling aipitasia?
