Hi,

These look more like seaweed to me, dont think they may have a lot of benefits in a tank apart from serving as food.

Syed, within a few days, I can plan to organize a habitat study trip at Jamnagar coastal area after getting permission from authorities. . There is a marine reserve. Today I met to a photographer, who already done a trip of this area for photography purpose. Once his photographs also published in "Time" magazine. In next meet, he will provide me some photographs of his trip to publish here.

Scorpio i doubt they will consume nitrite, mostly nitrate or phosphates. But to grow them well since most of these are from the red weed species looks like that from the pics, you will have to also suppliment iron in the tank for them to grow well and sunstain. Else they may just melt out.

Don't know about the fact but every plant consumes Nitrite/Nitrates in some amount.
