LED AND MOONLIGHT SETUP FOR MY MARINE -- TO BE REEF

Unread post by jack »

hello everyone,

i am planning for a CREE LED setup for my reef tank along with the moon light.

tank details

size: 72X27X24

current light setup: none

on the way: Kessils A350W 2 nos

requirement: CREE LED UNIT 2 nos

looking at the tank size i am sure that Kessils are not enough in the long run. soo to help with that i am looking for something that will help the corals grow, look sleek plus works as the moon light as my main requirement.

my plans so far is

TOTAL 2 UNITS

EQUIPPED WITH SUNRISE AND SUNSET EFFECT
12X6X2 inch Acrylic DIY
50% ROYAL BLUE
50% COOL WHITES

CREE XP-G cool white 5 W 80 lens
CREE XT-E royal blue 80 lens

Both the channels individually controlled
My plan sunrise
For royal blue LED
• 0700 from 20% to 30%
• 0800 from 30% to 50%
• 0900 from 50% to 70%
• 1000 from 70% to 80%
• 1100 from 80% to 100%
for cool white
• 0900 from 0% to 20%
• 1000 from 20% to 50%
• 1100 from 50% to 100%

my plan for sunset
for royal blue LED
• 0600 PM from 100% to 30% gradually every hour
• 1000 PM to 0700 AM 20% just blue moon lights

for cool white
• 06oo PM from 100% to 0% gradually in 3 hours

initially kessils will be on timer from 1 PM to 6PM and rest CREE units will take care of everything.

what do you experts think ? will this be a good call ? any suggestions changes will be highly appreciated

thanks for tanking time and reading.
waiting for the suggestions ...

Why don't you go for a model of mazzara maxspect?
I think it has all colurs leds you you want xpg , XML, xte etc.
I think it ll complement your pendant kessil well with all inbuilt.

Ok, if not whole thing try getting similar spectrum. Because its market tested light, so atleast if you can try get close to it should help your choice.
No rocket science.
