what is the best equipment so far you came across for the perfect temperature.

i am always fishy with thermometers that come, so thought to try an experiment which failed miserably

i lined up all different types of thermometers that i have
floating, stickon, strip, digital probe
there were total 8 thermometers in one tank for few a night and i keep my fingers crossed for the next day morning to my surprise the result was havaye
all the readings shows different temperature from the range of 24.5 to 27.2 degrees C
and there were three thermometers of same company that my friend just got yesterday from US and i opened the pack these three also measured different readings.

soo now my question is how to measure the right temp ??

If by 'stickon' you mean the glass and red alcohol thermometers that are a small glass tube, then they are the best Jaival. Have been using them for ages, all of them give the same reading. I remember years ago they were sold for 75 bucks each, now they are down to 30 bucks only. The sticker type are not good longterm for sure.

Once there was a gap in the column/tube where the alcohol rises in the thermometer. This was an air bubble. I got rid of it by putting the thermometer carefully in warm water so that the alcohol rose to the very end. Then i let it adjust itself afresh to the ambient temperature, and it worked just fine afterwards.

When buying thermometers, ask to see several of them. When u see a thermometer that has a very different reading ffrom the rest, don't buy that one.

Why don't you buy Clinical thermometer?

Yeah bro thats the ultimate option. But my concern is that good company manufactures this kind of stuff ? How can a hobbyist rely on.....

I went ahead and purchased a clinical thermometer and realized that it had markings for 36-38C.
I also had one of those red liquid thermometers from my experiments kit but I broke it long ago

So where can I get one?
Do aquarium shops sell them??

Bro how many heaters you got in the tank, were these thermos put together in the same place or different areas of the tank? Also was in out of the sump directed at these?

Try medical shop that should be able to guide or a good per shop who expertise in birds... Not reallu sure though
