Stripes presence does show stress, but u know what i have a similar blue color veil tail female for almost a yr now and every now and then she will show stress bars, but then the next day they will go away. She has being in the same planted tank and growing fine.
But if rajeev is saying that its male and he has seen the bubble and eggs, then we got to believe it, there cant be eggs without 1 male and female
Though i have my doubts, its fin body structure looks like female. Better pic of different angel will solve the mystery

Guys if i am not wrong some bettas have permanent stress bars type lines which are actually not stress bars

I looked at the pics and I thought the pic of the male is missing.. Rajiv ji, where is the male?? LOL..

Nice male bettas. How long can they be in the same tank? Has anyone tried to keep couple of males together that were born & grown in the same tank?

dint try but... but I saw a whole tank filled with bettas from same spawn of white HM bettas in planted tank.... males females all mixed!! great sight to watch and very different from routine tetras and barbs as community fish
