Although I don't know "How to cultivate plants in farms" but know "How to grow plants in Aquariums". Some keys for beginners what have learnt from my experience.

1. Keep an outside tub, aquariums etc. to grow excess plants. Here anybody can perform his/her experiments.
2. Always keep an eye on temperature. It is most crucial.
3. Read, Read and Read before buying any plant. Talk to experienced growers.
4. Try to maintain atleast minimum requirements for the plant.
5. Keep your water clean. Dirt in water always a slow death for aquatic plants.
6. Maintain flow in aquarium.
7. Remove algae.

All of the above mentioned facts are based on my experience. Some can be negative according to experience of others and books, websites.

This guy is working for the betterment of villagers of his locality by growing aquatic plants and breeding ornamental fishes. Luckily he daily chats with me on facebook and shares many facts of growing plants. Never meet him but want to meet him in future. His locality and state is a paradise for fish lovers.
