In your case, hard water is culprit.

Glossostigma diandrum
Glossostigma diandrum is a native Indian aquatic plant. I got it from in 2012 from a good friend. It is more beautiful in comparison of Glossostigma elatinoides. Its leaves are thin (linear) while the leaves of Glossostigma elatinoides are in elliptic shape.
It is an annual perennial plant. Glossostigma diandrum requires high in light in tank. In my experience, this plant is very sensitive to liquid sources of carbon and high amount of fertilizers. It requires clean water.

I guess this is not as familiar as glosso elatinoides.
Haven't seen this plant much in the hobby.
