siphon off the water...You have non-planted tank that..it doesnt harm any plant then..at that time remove you fishes from the tank..if your doing this with plant then it must be 30 seconds not more then that..

People have tried Glutaraldehyde for eliminating snails, Rajiv ji can guide you better.

Why dont you Try H2O2 Hydrogen Peroxide excessive amount will kill every live form...before i already try this with my plants..I just use 5 ml in 10 liters of water i just pore then for 30 sec then all snails killed in that time..if you want to try Becareful whule using of hydrogen peroxide..ok

what type of snail infestation we are talking about? yellow labs and yoyo are self sufficient for controlling the population of most species of snails.starving will increase the predatory instinct in them and in a few days your tank will be snail free.

yes this process kill all the beneficial bacteria..if you need to save these beneficial bacteria take some amout of tank water in a tub or bucket and then do this process its better if you wash your filter and put that filter in tub or bucket water one night before when you are using H2O2..this way you cans save beneficial bacteria and water change can be done..

water from an old tank won't do any good because major population of benificial bacteria are found attached to the surfaces and there population free floating is relatively negligible.
