Basics of Shrimp Keeping

Abhishek, Can you please provide the photographs of all the Indian native shrimps. At present I have, ghost shrimp and another Indian native with a white line on back side. Don't know the exact name. I think if you provide the details with photographs of each Indian shrimp, it will be very useful for all of us.

Its not like that, those you mentioned are indian natives along with than we have following natives too-
Cardina Hodgarti - The most famed and beautiful dwarf shrimp you can ever see.
Cardina Babaulti
Cardina Zebra
Cardina Tiwarii
Caridina gracilirostris
Caridina 'White Backed'
Chameleon Shrimp etc.

And also we have the famed macrobachium genus - sorry I am not so much interested in them so cant provide much information.

And for imported shrimps there are many species.

Thats pretty good, when these are local, i believe they should be more sturdy and easy to keep and also more easily available. Not at bomb prices

And yes they are priced not so high...

Great i think more than the price, its the suitability, being already from india, i am sure they will be apt to the local weather. That way i am they will be more flexible to the heat

Well Marsaiko, I can refer who sell them, but mentioning every one's price will be difficult.
I will provide the contact details and also the shrimp images in some time - now a days busy with house shifting..
