Anubias need some help :(

Unread post by jack »

Greetings,

Here comes a major problem :(
I was on a short business trip to delhi and my sister was taking care of the feeding
No dosing needs to be done in this tank
No co2
Low light and that too on timer.
After 4 days when i am back and see the tank i can see my anubias melting.
Dont know the reason
The rhizom of anubias is mealting away and the leaves are comming up. I just removed 6-8 anubias rhizomes disolved and threw away.
And can also see some more leaves turning transperent
Any clues what is it ? Anubias root rot ?? Reason ? Cure ??

Urgent replies would be appericiated
Thanks

Read this http://aquapetz.com/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=968

Now bring out all of the anubias from this tank. Cut the spoiled parts and put all the anubias in another tank in emerged condition for some days, if you want to save these plants.

Very sad.

This is a nice piece of info
The thing is i never had a crypt in that tank
Today i did 70% water change and went for work
I will be going home late night
Switched on AC in the room so that the tank remains stable
Hope it gets well soon
They were hard earned and grown anubias ;( ;( ;(

thats what I wanted to check an PRove, it doesnt happen with crypts in tank. Even my acre of anubias nana got wiped similar way of melting. The occassion was same- after waterchange, for all three of us.
I hope you have salvaged all by now, because if you dont you ll keep losing. Transfer the cut pieces into a clean tank with moderate ciruclation.

sai, i dont think its water change that is affecting the anubias its something else.
i havent added live stock nor have added plants lately except few anubias but those are fine. the old anubias which are with me since 8-9 months old affected. i religiously do my water change and have always found water changes are good for my tank. i got to see new leaves and my angels spawing. if i do twice a week then i can see the spawn 2-3 times at different places and different pairs. so water change is always lucky for me.
tomorrow morning will do 100% water change. dont have extra tank :(

where are everyone ??

small update the plants leaves still seems to be affected but seems controlled
morning removed 3 affected leaves and did 90% water change

dont know why but the angels are much in stress and hiding and making moves as if they are in shock seeing me... :( its very strange behavior for my angels they have never ever displayed this behaviors since last 6-7 months.
