Help needed : Seed Shrimp Infestation.

Unread post by Tanvinder »

Friends,

I can see Seed Shrimps slowly but steadily taking over all of my tanks.. and this feels oweful.

All my tanks have RCS and few assassin snails and i need your expert guidance on selectively getting rid of seed shrimps only...I am not much interested to introduce any fish to my tanks at this time as its difficult to catch them in a planted tank and am also worried about the RCS population. Is there any magic bullet?or perhaps an Woo Doo type remote assistance technology?

Please suggest.

thanks,

Tanvinder

They are not harmful. My tanks are also infested with these creatures. When they over populated, I stops food for some days.

They have been harmless so far but i still need them out of my tank... dead or alive..i don't need them here... there has to be a solution with one of us on the forum. I am googling ... lets see if i can get something to work for me.

by the way.. they can survive without food for very long.. infact.. i don't feed them at all in one of my tanks and they still continue to breed along with RCS.

i have the same problem. tried the trap as described in the link above, but it doesn't work.
they might be harmless, but in large numbers they stress out my shrimps
so am also interested in a solution - without using fish

Tanvinder Sir
The best way to get rid from them is to use galaxi rasbora or small guppy.. :dua
Try it
