One more from my end.

Shutter -1/200
White Balance- Auto
Clicked at 55mm of 18-55mm.
Little bit post processing on Photoshop CS5.

Issues -
1. What I feel that the reflection on the image kind of ruins it.
2. The bottom rock could have been cropped.

in every pic there is something called as white balance that is used to adjust the temparature of the captured image which provides the user to manipulate the primary colors

yes the reflection is distracting
the eye of the fish should've been at one of the focus points which are got by using the rule of thirds

as the fish is not very sharp, you could've not cropped so tightly that the unsharp details are shown

cropping is a good way to lose things in image that you don't want, there are a few other methods which let you keep the capture size but also remove the distracting elements
- cloning
- spot healing

Actually I kept the eye on one of the focus don't know why its not showing up due to the reflection I guess

Sure from next image onwards will try to work towards cropping and other post processing things, more over some basic changes I should make while clicking the image also like 1/3rd

One from my side to let me know the improvemnt areas

a niice shot
but the subject doesn't standout, almost as if it is melting into the background
this happens when the image is a little underexposed
by very slightly increasing the brightness and to adjust the surrounding areas exposure, by increasing constrast and reducing the green hue
PS: click on the image to enlarge it and then see the difference

the other thing we can do is to place the subject such that the balance is got by using the rule of thirds for the placement of the subject and the area the subject occupies and the background area to be of the ration 1:3 respectively

just one small thing that i want to add

photography is an extension to ones artistic self expression
so what i may like not necessary is right nor some thing that i avoid is wrong
each ones preference of fotografy are different

thus to summarize critique should always be taken as another persons opinion, not as a hard and fast rule
In the end it is you who decides what you accept and what you reject in your fotografy

i think the camera locked onto the reflection and didn't focus on the eye, this happens some times, best way to avoid this is to ensure that the tank is well lit and the surroundings are as dark as possible, but this being some one elses tank and the shot being taken in the morning, i doubt you can help
