Last year I have got 5 adult assasin snails and released them in a planted tank. All of they have decreased the population of Assasin snail. I also want their next generation but they have not produced any fry.
With time 3 of the snails has been dead. Recently I was reading about to breeding these snails. Added some calcium items in the tank. And the result was success! Now around 10 small snails are crawling over the walls of tank. They also need temperature around 23 degree celcius to breed them.

Wow! congratulations on your success sir
What did you add as a calcium source? Cuttlefish bone? egg shell?
I also read somewhere that if you add pond snails for them to eat everyday, they reproduce due to availability of plenty of food

I don't care the presence of snails in planted or any other setup. They always eat leftovers and also the part of nature. Some types of snails are also useful for substrate.

my assassins laid hundreds of eggs but never saw a baby snail in one year even. I have no coral except some that does not seem to dissolve. will try some eggshell now..
