Some rare barbs can be kept. They are fast, colorful and able to make an alive aquarium.

Re: Planning new tank !!!
Thank You all for the Post
this is what i have thought so far
option 1)
Will go with the Tangs and Black Sand, with lots of round pebbles
8-10 Nos Frontos
12 Nos Leleupis
8-12 Nos Gold Head Comps or Black calvus
few whip tails or bristle nose plecos for bottom and cleanup crew
Option 2)
DISCUS with white sand or big and small pebbles as substrate (what do u suggest ? )
12 Nos of same color and size (blue or marboro)
huge school (30-40Nos) of Neon Tetra/Glow Light Tetra / black neon tetra / Rasboras
20 Nos Cory (sterbai / panda / julie )
2 Pairs of German Rams
3 Nos Bristle Nose Pleco
1 Nos Zebra Pleco (been in my wish list since long)
Will try floating plants in both the setups but no extra efforts will be taken for them....
What say ? any suggestions are most welcome...

Re: Planning new tank !!!
I kept tangs with white aragonite sand,,,, will recommend that,,,,, leleupi will become dull if u r not providing light colored substrate ,,,,,,,,, same with frontosa ,,,,,,, their blue color will b more visible with white contrast......
If i get a chance og doing a tank that big then i would have opted for Vieja community ,,,,,,,, or geophagus community

Re: Planning new tank !!!
Option two will be looking fine to me but feeding habits of Discus will be always a problem in a community tank. They are slow eaters and all others fishes will consume their food. If you need floating plants, let me know. I have 100s of healthy Amazon frogbits.
