Give your plants a 5 min bath in weak bleach, this will destroy any snail egg that can be transfered to the new tank.

5-10ml in 1/2 lts of water, soak the planesplants for 5 min and then wash and soak for another 5 min in plain water. you can alternatively use potassium permanganate too instead of bleach.aawnaik wrote:Weak Bleach?

Some plants are sensitive to Potasium permangnate like as Vals, Crypts. But I thought it will not effect mosses.

Unveilling my new 4 feeter. Completed the set up on auspscious day of Ganesh Chaturthi -
Tank Dimensions - 48'X18'X18' (12mm extra clear glass)
Substrate - ADA Amazonia
Filter - Eihem 2217 & Power Filter
Hardscape - Lava Rocks
Lights - Aqua Zonic - 4ft - T5 (54WX4) 12000K (these are built in lights and may change depending upon results after a month or so)
Plants (All Plants shfted from my old tank) - It will have only low height / foreground plants.
- Hairgrass
- Vellisneria Spirals (to hide filter pipes)
- Erriocoulon
- Blyxa Japonica
- Styrogyne Repens (only one piece)
- Pogostemon Helferi (only one piece)
- Cryptocorene Wenditi Red (only one piece)
- Alternanthera Reineckii Mini
- US Fissiden on Lava Rocks
Suggestions are most welcome.

do every glass store have extra clear glass?? do we need to say that it is for aquarium purpose ?? what is the costs? do saint gobain have one like what you have mentioned (extra clear glass))
