Unnamed scape
After trying hard to maintain my forest scape for almost an year, I finally gave up on it and decided to redo the tank.
The new scape we started on 14th of March. Specs are:
Tank size: 18*12*12 (inches)
Substrate: platinum soil.
Stone: dragon stone
Filteration: currently on a small SOBO HOB (will be replacing it with fluval104 as soon as I receive the replacement impeller.)
Light: DIY LED ( 9*3W white +1 * 3W 660nm red )
Co2: pressurised @ 6 bubbles/ sec.
Flora: HC (was grown submersed in a tray ), val nana, windlov fern.
Was unable to capture the step by step layout of this tank but here is the final outcome:
water cleared a bit after few hours:
The tank needed another trim, and it was done yesterday.

Valisineria is not suitable for this scape.

Re: Unnamed scape
Charming scape with good growth of plants.
Want to suggest to try making it little more asymmetrical to look more natural. To increase the asymmetry, can shift rocks a bit to one side still keeping them away from wall. It will give space on other end to plant vallesnaria where it would be more visible. Plus shifting to one side will also increase height of rocks and keep them in view when the plants have overgrown after sometime which is expected seeing the rate of growth in 1 week. Even the soil is horizontally at same level everywhere. It can be sloped from rocks coming down to low levels at empty corner.

Lovely work. Strong work in the middle. Smaller rocks could be better.
How you are planning to keep hc cool in the summer?
Don't forget to update.

Thanks for commenting, glad that you liked it. It's really difficult to make any changes to the hard scape, so will stick to it for some time. Have not thought about cooling yet but since this tank is in my bedroom probably AC and PC fans will take care of it.parthapratim22 wrote:Lovely work. Strong work in the middle. Re: Unnamed scape
On the tenth day I trimmed the plants to get a more even growth.
This was on 2 April:
In the meanwhile I have added 10 Otto and 10 threadfind rainbows.
And then on 4th April:
