White Spots on Fish

Unread post by Ansh681 »

Hi
Today morning I noticed that some of my fish are having white spots on them. Tank is around 318 litres , no plants, internal filter 2000lph, air pump running 24hrs, white gravel, no heater. Last time when I changed water used anti chlorine, meth, sendha salt. Please guide me what to do ??

If I plan to buy a heater , what should be the wattage ?

Regards
Himanshu

Use methylene blue.

yes u need a heater now. its too cold at night.
basic rule for heater is 3-5watt per gallon. u have appo. 80 gallon tank so buy a 300watt heater atleast..heater has thermostat so it will not fry ur fishes ;)

Use 2 heaters of 150 watt each with thermostat. If you want to save some money, buy one ordinary and another with thermostat. Ordinary will be always on while another one will be off automatically when it touch the desired temperature.
