using chemical will give you a temporarily solution and the problem will reoccur unless the root cause is removed. some of the suggestion for a algae free aquarium is:

1.increased water circulation to ensure that there is even distribution of ferts co2 and oxygen and there is no dead space.
2. clean the filter regularly.
3. don't let mulm built up in the tank and siphon the gravel on regular interval.
4. remove dead and old leaves as the can leach out excess minerals thus promoting algae growth
5. a balance between light, ferts and co2 should be maintained.
6. avoid excess feeding

Doesn't rosy barb feast on riccia instead of the algae
