Canister filter low output.

Hi Guys ,
I have installed a SUNSUN canister filter today in my 3ft by 18inch by 18inch set up,the filter is working ,but the outflow from the output pipe is insufficient,that is the plants on the other side of the aquarium is now swaying. the filter output is 1000l/hr.
Please give some advice..

Add another powerhead in the tank.

Hi Abhi ,does all canister filter require an additional power head for water circulation or is it that my canister output is low for the size of the aquarium? Anyway will be installing a additional power head.

even I have same question as SOmraj, sometimes I feel canister is not giving enough circulation to remove dirt

The flow in any filter will reduce due to dirt mulm build up. To achieve optimum flow from a canister, dont use mechanical filtration. Instead use a prefillter that can be cleaned easily and frequently. Also to get more flow you can spilt the outlet to get flow in 2-3 directions.
