lighting

Unread post by shergill00 »

My tank height is 18 inch and 2ft wide. I have installed osram T5 2 feet with twin tubelights with 14 watt each and then 1 ft. single. I still feel the light is less as i can see in some plants i see the internodal distance is wide though not very wide.

I had thrown some egeria outside in tub which is under sunlight. The plant in my tank and outside look totally different. I know same conditions cannot be there in tank but should i install another rod inside? But wont then temperature would go up.

You need alteast 4 tubes of 14 watt for good growth of plants. T5 tubes does not generates too much heat.
