Welcome Raji. Please introduce yourself in Self Introduction forum http://aquapetz.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2&start=800

Rounded tanks are not good for fishes as well as aquascaping.

Every plant need CO2 to survive. But some plants can perform good in low amount of CO2. Some of these are Anubias, Java fern, Bolbitis sp., Marselia hirsuta, Mosses, Vallisneria, Indian fern etc.

Thank you for the reply. Yes, I got a round tank ..thought wil start on a small scale. I am ONLY interested in aquascape .
1 Can you pl tell what is minimum and maximum height of the tank that is suitable for aquatic plants ? Ofcourse, it depends on the other 2 dimensions ..but what is the accepteble ratio length to height ?
2 if I want to satrt with CO2 maintenace -free ( i will change water every week or so ) which plants are recommended ?
3 are CO2 tablets available in Delhi ?
Would appreciate your suggestions

RAJI
1) 2ft*1ft*1ft or2.5(3)ft*1.25ft*1.25ft
2) You may see very slow growth and plants without proper shape
3) Almost no

RAJI
you can find them at a few place but they are not worth the money spent, instead go for flourish excel or glutraldehyde

Raji, it is best to change this rounded tank with a rectangle tank. You will have more space to grow plants. Keep atleast 1 feet height of tank to grow plants. CO2 tablets are available at Laxmi Nagar, Aquarium Home. It will best to use Flourish Excel in place of CO2 tablet.
