Lighting for a Nano Tank

Unread post by rodriguesroyston »

Hi Guys,

What would be an ideal Lighting for a Nano Tank with 15" Width and Depth and 2 ft Height housing Shrimps and Endlers.

I am thinking of 2 x 12" T5 8W ea. if I remember it right.

Kindly advice, also let me know if the Tank is ideal as I have still not built it but planning on doing so next week.

Thanks in advance.

Regards Royston

reduce the height as it would be difficult for maintainance but if you can do that then go for it,and try to increase width than height ,then aquarium will look nice

What should be an Ideal size of Nano Tank? I am having 12" T5 and hence I don't want to increase the Width and as you mentioned Height may be too much which I agree.

I will be housing only Shrimps and Moss and while the Shrimps are okay the Moss may require some maintenance regularly. Regards Royston

2 feet height will be odd looking and little bit expensive, if you are going to grow plants in this tank. Height should not be more than 18 inch.
