simple - as its exceeding 22, yes you are using more than extreme.

as Partha's config is looking so much high even Im rethinking.
Can we say that LSI should be similarly treated to WPG rule? meaning different for nanos and normal tanks.

Got a good point need to study then, but all light discussion are so confusing after few mins of breaking head I lost interest

hi guys

i am planning a new lightning for my tank. currently it is powered by 5x PLL 36 W, i think there is a better way.
tank: 60 x 16 x 20 inch.
i am aiming 15 lumens/si, so according to rajivs formula i need 14400 lm.

Readymade LEDs of 10, 20 and 30 watt respectively in price 600, 1100 and 1500 are available in Bhagirat place. They also don't need any type of reflector and ready to run. I am also going to buy these LEDs.

Juanico,
T5 or LEds? I have tried/trying both. LEDs are expensive but they have lower electricity cost. Their output is also pretty impressive. However, they tend to focus a 'spot', and the light isn't too scattered. So if you have something like a cube, LED it is, but any longish tank, it should be T5HO. My cube 9rockscape) has one 50 watts LED and one 36 watts PLL. The 4 feeter has 4 55 watts T5HO.

T5HO are the best if you want to spread lighting equally in whole the aquarium. I am also using both LEDs/T5s. I like the performance of T5s.
