Hi Ishaan,

The breakup would be :

ESAB regulator - 4k
Swagelok brass fittings+needle valve - 4k
Burkert 6011 - 4k
Cylinder - I am not sure since I do not have the cost breakup of my original build supplied by Indiapetstore
Fluval bubble counter - Rs.300
Sera Aktiv CO2 reactor - Rs.1200

My current build is about a week old now. Am evaluating the system . However, the solenoid+valve combination appears to be performing really well at the moment.

The pH controller is something I picked up from Singapore. I think it cost around 6k if I remember correctly. But its worth it , especially if you have sensitive fish like discus in the tank.

pH Controller I also think is good think to have as you can controll the level of CO2 in the water and avoid the loss of excess CO2 and fauna.
But the flip side is the cost factor.

Yes Vikram... I totally agree. Water in and around NCR is hard mostly. If you add CO2, that has a tendency to bring the pH down. However , if you push uncontrolled amounts of CO2, the pH will drop very fast which is not good especially for fish. I try and keep the pH stable between 6.5 and 6.9.

do u know tirthankar updadhyayay? he now is a firm believer in running C02 24X7. that way u dont need a solenoid, i understand. correct me if i am wrong, since i know zilch about pressurised C02 though i believe everyone will try it one day :D What else could one do without, if it was run 24x7?
