I bought a pair of Texas cichlids (blue) for 1400/- in Bangalore @ Aquarium store, Indiranagar, HAL 2nd stage
Female has more vibrant color and size compared to male.. but male is more aggressive..

now rimple will tell us what he paid for this beautiful fish, flawless flawless flawless. I have seen Texas being sold in Delhi for nominal prices, small examples, but this one seems very pretty compared to them. Good food perhaps?

this is indeed a texas. I have exactly the same spec (male and female) and coloration and have fry from them now around 60 - 70 ...

1400 for a pair? OOuch.....that is highly expensive.....

In Bangalore, I had never seen Texas in any shops before. So I felt those might be that costly.

Anybody from Bangalore can let me know good aquarium shops with reasonable rates. People here rip off a lot. Can't get honest sellers.

In Bangalore only my hobby has bloomed and till date have dealt with honest sellers only as compared to other parts of country.

Before buying only you should consult, talk with guys in forums after buying it we cant help much. And for good dealers -drop me a pm with your requirement - will provide you contacts as per that.

Trust me, there r around 4-5 shops near G.MPalya, where I live, but literally they deceive a lot for money. Can't tell you how many times I believed their words and suffered.
Anyways, its also partly my mistake that I believed them. I shud have done my home work before buying..
