I think I had quoted the reason.
Waste of water. He said he changes water twice a day and RO water at that. I find that wasteful.
There was no intent of disrespecting the tank owner.
I should have been more clear in expressing what I had meant, so apologies if I sounded rude.

This concern is echoed by every environmentalist-type hobbyist Naufil. Discus are the King of Tropical Fish, yes, but sure need massive water changes. I try and use the last drop of aquarium water for my potted plants. ... If i had the space for these magnificent creatures, i don't think i would have the heart to do all the water changes.... Maybe if i had a massive front lawn :) 666

Quoted or not, you should have 1st asked what he does with the water before assuming its wasted grrr

Good going Romi :thumup Even though I do only 1 water change(about 100 liters) a week for my planted tank, all that water goes to the potted plants in my house.

I agree before jumping in you should have asked him wjat he does of waste water... I am sure as a responsible hobbyist he would also be using this water for his plants/garden...
I use my WC water to the garden and hence the water is utilised....

Anyways this topic is taking a wrong turn....

Awesome woods prem :) keep it up
And do share the new house pics when these kings are inn
Will be waiting :)
Finally i am Broke but Happy :D
