tank size for discus?

i want to setup a discus tank but i donot have enough space to put a big aquarium. the space i have to keep a 36x18x18 tank. how many discus are suitable for this tank? plz help me.

I thought you can keep 5-6 discus in this tank. You need follows this tips:
1. Controlled feeding
2. Frequent water change
3. Good filtration
Wait the response of others.

As per me that length should be atleast 4 foot. For bigger suggest go for the blue strains since they are hardier by a small margin.

don't hav space to keep bigger tank.
