Beautiful clicks, but the watermark in the middle is spoiling them.

The watermarks are there (and going forward would always be there) as few ppl in the past have cropped my images and used them for commercial purposes

Nice shots Vijendra. Keep them coming. Just a passing thought.
Do you also get professional offers to print the pictures in magazines or anywhere ?
Warm regards

It was an interesting read.
I personally would never use a watermark if someone would guarantee that my photos would never get stolen.

When we are talking about fish photography, the market for photographers isn't very big. A couple magazines, handful of brands and a few publication houses are what might buy your photos. We also don't have very experienced photo thieves that would steal the photo, remove the watermarks and get away with selling someone else's photos to magazines, books or other brands.
What I deal with (on a regular basis) is a random hobbyists who is trying to sell his fish and using my photo. On rare occasions I find out about a FB page that is using my photos or videos to get hundreds of likes.
And the best way to deal with such leaches is to have watermarks on your images. That way, they don't want to use it to start with; or if they are desperate and they end up using it, you can jump on their bum and tell them that you can sue them because they are using your property. Sometimes it just makes easier to prove that it IS your photo if you have a watermark on it.
I recently help shut down a FB page with more than 10,000 likes that was thriving only on people like me and Vijendra's photos. Three or four of us hobbyists reported about 100+ images to FB and they basically took down the whole page instead of taking the photos down. I am pretty sure my watermarks played a big role in making FB believe that those were MY photos.

So, even though I do not like to use watermarks myself, they simply work and that's why I use them pretty extensively.
