i have just realize that the switch is at the wrong place, even if the fans are off, the adapter would still be working.

I still feel that there is some information missing as to how did you connect the wires to the switch? n then that switch to the adaptor?

These Fans are DC fans I guess, normally used in CPU's SMPS system. I bought them for Rs. 50/-. You also need a DC to AC adapter with proper ampier to get this working.

I am using these CPU fans since a long and running with landline phone adaptor. One of my fan is working from last 6 years.

For a 2 footer tank you can use 2 CPU fans to cool the tank water. In four footer tank you can use Industrial fans. One 4 inch Industrial fan will be work fine.

for 4ft ank u need 4 fans the fan angle is impertinent make sure all wind touch the surface of the water . u need 12v DC 1 AMP adapter .
