Are these Diatoms or some kind of algae?

As the title says, are these diatoms? My whole plants are getting this brown stuffs.

These are diatoms.

Cause behind diatoms may be newly setup tank or excess silica in water.

* Change water frequently.
* Introduced some algae eating fishes/invertebrates.

The tank is almost 4 months old. 2 otos are there. I am doing wc every week. Should i increase it?

Increase water change? How old are the light source means tubes etc.?

Tank dimension is 24x12x18 LBH, 2x36w pll 6500k. Diy co2. Ei dosing and Seachem flourish comprehensive and excel. Substrate is just laterite. Tubes are 4 months old.

Water changing will be a key of success for you. Change around 50% water twice a week. If you have water test kits, please check the amount of silica in your water.

thats the problem, i do not have a kit. okay ill change the water twice a week. thanks for your time rajivji.

If possible use RO water for some days.

btw i wanted to know something.
1. what is the difference between T5HO and T5HE.
2. Which is better? T5HO or T5HE?
3. Do T5HO come in 2 feet? if yes, than maximum watts in 2 feet?
4. If ill buy T5HO then how many watts for my tank and if ill buy then how many watts for my tank?
