They are Petrified rocks. I searched these but never found in Delhi/NCR.

Rocks are petrified wood rock. I bought these from Chennai in 2006 for 50/-(all of them)
As adviced by Rajiv sir, I m using glut and Diy co2.

The thing about all aquaria we've been maintaining so far: balance. If balance is missing, nothing would work out in the tank.

First planted tank is an opportunity to study plant growth, algae control etc and experience is your best teacher. So observe, learn and apply what you've learnt.

That said, my suggestions: add more plants, same combination as you already have with selective placement. Lights: keep it to a max of 6-8 hours only. Water change: as per your fertiliser and dosage schedule. Recommended is 50% change per week. Surface agitation of water is also helpful keeping the water aerated for fish and keeping the odd looking oil film away.

Keep posting!

Cheers,

Karthik

Thank you,
Initially I had brown algae and blue green. After using glut with water changes and adding platty and molies controlled that.
I'm planning to keep more plants but had worst experience with online purchase.
I will certainly follow your advice.
Once again thank you

For such tank size, it may look better if you clump up all rocks and taller plants together on one side instead of making two towers!! and then slope down to smaller foreground plants towards other end. Try to hide filter behind the rock to taller side. Being in center, it would be visible and deflecting view. Fill everything up with plants, try online ordering from other vendors to get them in good health.
