Re: FINALLY STARTING MY PLANTED AQUARIUM - Update
After last Sunday WC, I totally stopped dosing Fert, only dosed EXCEL on daily basis, reduce lights to 48 watts topped up the tank with RO water every morning, introduced an IPF tried to remove the fuzz algae with the help of tooth brush and today morning I found the fuzz algae is under a little control but GDA has covered almost all part of the glass and instruments making the tank looking hazy. Now changing the water and scrubbing the GDA on Saturday night recommended? Guys please guide.

Re: FINALLY STARTING MY PLANTED AQUARIUM - Update
I've had this problem recently. Mostly due to less planting at start coupled with lots of light, imbalance in CO2 and lack of maintenance.
Three things helped me out of this situation.
1-frequent filter cleaning(even though it was clean) but I believe the diatom particles got multiplied and distributed through the algae that was sustained within filter. Contrary to popular belief, diatoms multiplied like crazy with each large water change I did. I did little water changes more frequently to counter this.
2-very unusual algae crew.. picked up a normal pleco, a bunch of puntius phutunio(the love diatoms) and native shrimps. They all did the job well by picking bits of algae I couldnt remove myself.
3-I manually removed larger chunks of algae myself as much as I could.
